PhDr. et. Mgr. Kryštof Kozák, PhD.

Kryštof Kozák, director of the Department of American Studies, completed his MA in American Studies (2003) at the Institute for International studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, Prague. He also holds a MA degree in Law (2004), Faculty of Law, Charles University, Prague. He recieved his Ph.D. at the Institute for International Studies in Prague in 2008. In addition, he studied at the University of California, San Diego, on a Fulbright scholarship. He also completed the Program in International Education at Bard College, NY. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of American Studies and a member of the American Political Science Association (APSA) and of the International Studies Association (ISA). His research interests cover North American regionalism, NAFTA, immigration from Mexico, drug-trafficking and border control issues. He teaches the following courses: Government in North America, Introduction to U.S. Legal System, Economic Issues in North America or Introduction to Political Geography.
